Bark or Treat: Yappy Hour
Bring your pooches in their spookiest costumes and join us for Yappy Hour on October 26th, 2024, from 4pm to 7pm in the Miramar Gardens!
Here at The Miramar, we love to throw our support to a good cause. And we also love to throw a good party for our guests and their four-legged friends!
On a spooky October night we are hosting Yappy Hour where you can enjoy cocktails, music, puppy love from Fairmont Miramar’s partner and local nonprofit dedicated to finding homes for rescue dogs – Wags & Walks. Dress up with your four-legged friend in a spooky costume, and the spookiest will win our Doggy Halloween Costume Contest with a special prize from Healthy Spot!
Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows has long been pet-friendly, and we love to host your fur babies. Pets are welcome in all guest rooms and suites, including our 31 exclusive bungalow hideaways. And they get VIP treatment: dog or cat treats, a food and water bowl, a luxurious bed to use during the stay, plus pet-waste bags. 10% of each pet fee is donated directly to Wags & Walks is a Los Angeles- and Nashville-based nonprofit no-kill dog rescue that has saved thousands of dogs since its inception.
Wags & Walks’ mission is to rescue family-friendly dogs of all breeds, ages and sizes in an effort to decrease euthanasia in crowded shelters. Dogs are provided with shelter, food, behavioral training and more, in order to help ensure they will thrive when they find a forever home. On average, a dog is with Wags & Walks for approximately two to three weeks before adoption. At Yappy Hour, Wags & Walks will be present to speak on donations and will bring puppies that are looking for new homes.
Over the years, the nonprofit has featured a list of caring corporate donors and celebrity supporters, including Kate Hudson, Kerry Washington, Gisele Bundchen, Sir Patrick Stewart, Justin Turner, Sosie Bacon–and The Miramar.
