Trained in the classic French tradition, FIG Executive Chef Jason Prendergast sources every dish on his seasonally-inspired menu from local farmers and purveyors: “simply prepared items with a focus on flavor and quality,” as L.A. Confidential says; in other words, bright, lusciously colorful and exquisitely presented place-based cuisine. Chef meets specialty foragers and visits local farmers’ markets several times a week, and when you dine here, you will, too. Take a seat on the sunny garden terrace, or with the regulars at the communal table and pewter bar — perfect for singles or date-night couples. Or reserve our intimate private dining room for groups of up to 20. The vibe is warm, inviting wine bar-meets-airy-California bistro in casual, understated elegance.

Chef Jason makes weekly visits to the Santa Monica farmers market to network with specialty foragers, organic farmers, ranchers and fisherfolk. Jason sources up to 75 percent of the ingredients on the FIG menu locally.
