Make The Fairmont Miramar Your Home This Holiday Season
The time has come once again to unwind and reflect on the past year, and what a year it’s been. While many options for celebrating the holidays have been put on hold in light of the pandemic, here at the Fairmont Miramar, we’ve reimagined our traditional calendar of offerings to provide you with an urban retreat worthy of this special season.
From exclusive offers that invite you to make the Miramar your home for an extended period of time to a retooling of our annual Meet Me Under the Fig Tree event, the scene is set to embrace the season’s festivities safely. Complementing these special promotions are our holiday decorations and curated menus highlighting seasonal favorites, making spirits bright all month long.
As always, the well-being of our guests and employees is of paramount importance. We encourage our guests to review the California state travel restrictions and local travel guidelines before traveling, as they are being updated frequently.* We also invite you to review Accor’s ALL Safe and Well commitment to explore some of the changes we’ve made in order to bring comfort and peace to each and every guest — through the holidays and beyond.
Stay Longer, Save More
We want nothing more than to be your home away from home this season, and our Take Your Time offer is designed especially to help make that happen. The longer you stay with us, the more you save — up to 25% on bookings of five or more nights. It’s our way of inviting you to cozy up and allow us to do the heavy lifting, so that all you have to think about is which swimsuits and matching accessories you want to stock up on at Vilebrequin Boutique.
Additionally, Dogtown Coffee has expanded its to-go menus with gourmet offerings from FIG Restaurant to meet the cravings of guests between 6am and 10pm daily (note that Dogtown Coffee and take-out items from FIG are our only food and beverage offerings under the current restrictions). Whatever your tastebuds desire and whatever your dietary preferences, their options abound — and all can be delivered directly to your room. Start the day with your favorite coffee drink, and an acai energy bowl or warm buttermilk pancakes, and for lunch, choose from a variety of soups, salads, sandwiches, sushi, and wraps. Finish out the day with hearty dinner selections including grilled salmon with whipped potatoes and broccolini, spaghetti Bolognese, or flat iron steak.
Embracing the Holiday Spirit by Giving Back
‘Tis the season for giving and spreading holiday cheer, and we have two special ways for you to do just that. The first way is by booking your stay with our Trees of Hope offer between now and January 11. Not only will we gift you 25% off your rate and a $25 hotel credit, but we’ll also donate $10 for each night of your stay to a local community charity.
The second way is by partaking in our annual Meet Me Under The Fig Tree food and clothing drive. In normal years, we partner with Santa MoniCARES and invite the community to gather with us at the Fairmont Miramar, bringing along donations for the Westside Food Bank and Chrysalis, a non-profit that helps low-income and homeless individuals find and retain employment.
Although we can’t come together in person this year for the event, we can still show our support for both Westside Food Bank and Chrysalis with no-contact drop-offs at the hotel. Between now and December 24, swing by the Miramar and leave your donations of non-perishable food items and gently worn business clothing with the hotel valet. Every donation will help someone in need this holiday season.
A Very Festive Christmas Feast from FIG
Skip the endless hours in the kitchen and let FIG Restaurant do the cooking for Christmas this year. Available to order on Tock or by calling the restaurant directly, the specially curated Christmas menu feeds four to six adults and includes a wide array of seasonal favorites.
Snack on local cheese and charcuterie, kaluga caviar, and smoked mozzarella arancini, then dive into the main course: chicory and kale salad, roasted beef tenderloin, baked branzino, potato and onion comté gratin, and more. A traditional yule log with all the fixings and other sweet treats round out the feast, as well as a selection of options to add on (think chilled oysters, selva shrimp, and crab with several dipping sauces).
Even though the holidays look different this year, there is still much to be thankful for and celebrate. Here at the Miramar, we are so very grateful for you, our beloved guests, and can’t wait to host you this season and throughout next year. Thank you for choosing us to be your home away from home. We love having you as part of our family.
*Currently, the Fairmont Miramar Hotel and Bungalows is open; however, the most recent regional stay-at-home-order, implemented December 3, bans non-essential travel in Los Angeles city and county.
