A New Way to Wellness: Holistic Wellness Retreat

Wellness is top of mind for everyone these days, and why not? We all want to be healthier and happier, experience greater mental clarity and feel more connected!

That’s why the art of self-care has become so important, as a way to take time out and get grounded. Self-care also helps to manage stress and pay attention to what your mind, body, and spirit need. But sometimes we need more.

Our emotions, mental health and senses–the way we experience the world–are deeply entwined. Knowing how to take a deeper dive into everything that life has to offer, and living a richer, happier, more balanced and intentional life, is, after all, what optimal wellness is all about. We don’t always have the time or the tools, and that’s where a holistic wellness retreat can help!

If you’ve been thinking about signing up for a wellness weekend that will help you achieve next-level wellness, we’ve got you! We are excited to announce our first Wellness Retreat, from Friday September 30 to Sunday, Oct 2, in partnership with a special team of experts from exhale Spa and Liberate, the first mental wellness studio.

Join an intimate group of wellness devotees and learn how to flex your mental wellness muscles, nurture kindness and compassion, and connect deeply with yourself and others at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows, just steps from the beach.

Our unique wellness approach is not only about the health of the body. It centers on mental and emotional health, an overall feeling of personal well-being and ways to bring the spirit back in balance. The Wellness Weekend will include daily yoga and meditation, healing spa treatments, tips and techniques for releasing stress and setting intentions to work on over the weekend and take home with you.

And, just as important, it will be fun! In addition to two spa treatments of your choice at exhale® and sessions led by Olivia Bowser, founder of Liberate, there will be a Santa Monica Farmer’s Market Tour with Chef; an intimate dinner prepared at FIG Santa Monica in our private dining room, The Potting Shed; an invitation to spend a VIP evening at The Bungalow; daily fitness workouts–mental and physical–to help you reconnect with who you are and become the whole person you want to be.

Here is our sample itinerary:

Day 1 (Friday):

Check in at 3PM 
1:00pm – 4:00pm: Arrival

  • Guests enjoy a service at Exhale Spa
  • Guests enjoy fitness center
  • Guests explore the area

5:00pm – 6:00pm: Liberate Intention Setting Workshop in Studio (60 min), featuring an intention tree for attendees to share their intentions for the weekend

6:00pm – 8:00pm: Guests are encouraged to use their F&B credit to explore our dining options FIG, Soko, Lobby Lounge.

8:00pm: Chill Yoga in studio (60 min)

9:00pm: Meditation in studio (30 min)

Optional evening at The Bungalow, guests will be escorted to the front of the line

Day 2 (Saturday):

8:00am: Liberate Meditation in studio (30 min)

Featuring a Take What You Need Wall in the studio for participants to write notes throughout the retreat to set their intentions for the weekend and share with each other

10:00am – 1:00pm: Down time

  • 11:00am: Optional Farmer’s Market Tour with Chef and interactive lunch/cooking class at Fig
  • Guests enjoy a service at Exhale Spa
  • Guests enjoy fitness center
  • Guests explore the area

1:00pm: Liberate Gratitude Workshop outdoors (60 min)

2:00pm – 5:00pm: Down time

  • Optional beach walk
  • Guests enjoy a service at Exhale Spa
  • Guests enjoy fitness center
  • Guests explore the area

4:30pm Liberate Meditation in studio (30 min)

5:00pm: Yoga in studio (60 min)

7:00pm: Dinner

  • Group Dinner at FIG Santa Monica in The Potting Shed

Day 3 (Sunday)

8:30am Liberate Meditation in studio (30 min)

9:00am Yoga gym Sunset Terrace (60 min)
