A tree is a gift that just keeps giving, and our historic Moreton Bay Fig has been giving since it was planted by Georgina Jones, one of the original founders of Miramar, over 100 years ago.
Under its outstretched boughs, our annual Meet Me Under the Fig Tree tradition will be returning this year on December 11, from 2pm to 5 pm. We are preparing for a very special afternoon and would like to invite you to share in a calendar of festive activities and food that is free and open to our guests, their families, and the entire local community.
The Miramar will be hosting a Gingerbread House Contest, a snow machine (doesn’t everyone love a little taste of a white Christmas?), and a bounce house. Also, photos with with Santa, plan ahead and skip the line with advanced bookings, here. Our partner, Wags and Walks, will feature a Puppy Therapy station. There will be divinely delicious bites from FIG, and some of our favorite local partners including Emporium Thai, Wally’s, Michael’s Santa Monica, Fia Restaurant, and 1212 Santa Monica. Dessert will also be available and served by Vanilla Bake Shop. Don’t miss a photo-op with the Santa Monica Fire Department’s fire truck and the Santa Monica Police Department will have horses on hand!
In the spirit of giving, we will be accepting donations of canned food, new or gently worn clothing or monetary gifts in partnership with local nonprofits Santa MoniCARES, the Westside Food Bank, and Chrysalis. Bring your friends and family. Let’s all Meet Under the Fig Tree!
